St Julians Newsletter Summer 2018

Club Newsletter Summer 2018 St Julians Clu - PrivateMembers Club in the Weald of Kent Summer is our favourite season at St Julians with the stunning grounds and gardens in bloom. It’s wonderful to hear the voices of children in the grounds playing all day long, and there’s always a peaceful spot to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the club. St Julians is open all day, every day, even when our function rooms and terrace are in use for a party. We want our members to make the most of St Julians, and we have a great range of meals, drinks and snacks available but – do let us know if there is something you would like to see available – we are always open to your suggestions. We have a lot planned for the spring and early summer this year in the grounds. Our low ropes section of the playground has sadly come to the end of its 15-year life, so will be removed and replaced during early summer. The wendy house village will be replaced by hand-crafted teepees, and we are also having new decking outside the bar. All of this work is being carried out by local carpenter Davin Glover , and after the lovely job he did on the slide pool last year, we are really excited to see his new work! All members will receive the safety information with regard to the pools each year with your renewal; the full pool rules can also be found on our website and on notices in the pool area. Please ensure that your family and any guests you bring know that our swimming pools are unsupervised – we do not have lifeguards. It is the adult member’s responsibility for their child and child guest’s safety while they swim and play in the grounds. While swimming and playing in the pool area, members under 16 and guests under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult Full/Country member at the poolside. Summer starts at St Julians...
